The 30th annual fair begins Friday and runs through August 27, 2008.  The fair benefits the YMCA’s youth and literacy programs. Through the Washington University Campus YMCA and the YMCA’s three literacy programs, hundreds of adults and children have access to free books and reading tutors.

"Without the funds raised at the annual book sale, we would have to drastically reduce the valuable programs we offer," Carolihne Mitchell, director of the YMCA literacy programs, said in a statement.

The sale begins at 4 p.m. Friday with a $10 "preview night."  There is no admission for the rest of the fair, which runds 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug 23-27.  The final day items are available for $10 a bag or box.  On August 23, a free shuttle will run from the Caroldelet Y to the Kennedy center on the hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We’re proud to announce that one of our RE/MAX Midwest Group great agents has filmed a promotion for drinking responsibly! When you check the link below, be sure to VOTE for

Joyce Yost! She did a super job and sounds like she had a great time doing it! Following is what Joyce had to say about the fun event.

"I agreed to participate to this commercial at the Cardinal Winter Warm Up. Nena and I had a Great Time and as we were leaving I was approached to participate. I thought, Ok, I am perfect for this since I don’t drink and have always been the designated driver. As you can see at the beginning I was trying to make sure I had lipstick on and of course they were filming!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did filming it."

Joyce Yost participated in the Responsibility Has Its Rewards promotion at the 2007 Cardinals Winter Warm-Up in St. Louis. We here at TEAM Coalition work hard to promote the importance of designating a driver, buckling up, and demonstrating responsible fan behavior. Now she, too, has helped the cause!

Click on the link below to view the Public Service Announcement she filmed at the Winter Warm-Up: TEAM Coalition Promo!  REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR JOYCE!
