How does our concept differ from the traditional real estate company? In 1973, Dave and Gail Liniger, two top producers, knew there was a better way to develop a real estate business.  Their theory was quite simple: RE/MAX Agents would share in the cost of operating a real estate office, allow for a very conservative broker profit, and then the associates would retain as much of the commission on the sale of real estate as possible.   The Linigers were considered "crazy" at the time; it would never work; they would be outcasts within the real estate industry.  Thirty-plus years later, RE/MAX has arguably become the world's largest real estate company and Dave and Gail Liniger are still the owners.  The company has enjoyed 30+ years of consecutive monthly growth; no one can boast of growth and development of that magnitude.
