Compare the Traditional Office to the RE/MAX Office

You take "floor time" or "opportunity time".  You do not have to take "floor time".
You attend weekly meetings. You attend quarterly meetings.

The "floor" person gets the property calls. You receive all your own property calls.

The "floor" person gets the ad calls. You receive all your own ad calls.
The associates participate in silly contests. You do not have to participate in silly contests.
Your broker has to approve any commission amounts. You are able to negotiate your own commissions.
The associates meet the broker's expectations of goals and objectives. You set your own goals and objectives.
Broker gives favorites referral and keeps a percentage. You negotiate your own referrals, 
and keep all the commission.

In order to decide where to conduct your real estate business, you need to consider the following questions:

  1. What company can provide you with the highest commissions for your work?
  2. What company has the technology to help you achieve your greatest success?
  3. What company is growing?
  4. What company encourages agents to branch out?
  5. What company encourages agents to expand their referral opportunities?
  6. Are you in business for yourself?
  7. Do you get all your own property calls?
  8. Do you get all of your own ad calls?
  9. Do you get all of your own sign calls?
  10. Are you required to participate in contests, floor times, etc.?
